Scan Tool Method (TCM)

  1. Using SUZUKI scan tool with A/T cartridge, interface TCM by connecting to OBD-II 16-pin Data Link Connector (DLC), located under instrument panel, accessible from driver's side. Retrieve DTC following scan tool manufacturer's instructions.
  2. If a DTC is present, identify DTC and diagnose accordingly. See DTC IDENTIFICATION , then proceed to DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. After repairs are made, clear DTC. See CLEARING TROUBLE CODES . Test drive vehicle and ensure O/D OFF indicator or MIL does not illuminate.
