DTC P0743: TCC Solenoid Circuit Fault: Testing
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect TCM harness connectors. Turn ignition on. Using a DVOM, measure voltage between ground and TCM harness connector E26, terminal No. 24 (Green/Yellow wire). If reading is about zero volts, go to next step. If reading is not as specified, repair Green/Yellow wire for a short to power.
- Turn ignition off. Using a DVOM, measure resistance between ground and TCM harness connector E26, terminal No. 24 (Green/Yellow wire). If resistance is 11-15 ohms at 68°F (20°C), check for an intermittent problem or faulty TCM. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDS . If resistance is not as specified, go to next step.
- Disconnect solenoid harness connector at transaxle. Using a DVOM, measure resistance between transaxle case and TCC solenoid harness connector terminal No. 3 (Green/Yellow wire). See Figure. If resistance is 11-15 ohms at 68°F (20°C), repair Green/Yellow wire for an open or short to ground. If resistance is not as specified, go to next step.
- Check TCC solenoid wires in transaxle for an open or short. Check TCC solenoid for proper installation. Repair as necessary. If no problems are found, replace TCC solenoid. Retest system.
