Chart D: SDM Cannot Communicate Through Serial Data Circuit

WARNING:
To avoid air bag deployment and injury when trouble shooting system, only use test equipment specified in diagnostic charts. Under no circumstances should battery powered test equipment or test light be used. carefully follow all instructions.
- An improper connection to data link connector will prevent communications from being established.
- This test checks if possible to communicate with other controller.
- This test checks for open in CKT Y/B.
- This test checks for open in CKT Y/B (air bag harness).
- This test checks if abnormality is in other controller or in floor harness.
- This test checks for short from CKT Y/B (air bag harness) to ground.
- This test checks for short from Y/B (air bag harness) to B+.
