Diagnostic Testing: Notes

When trouble shooting transaxle, first check for stored DTCs. Perform ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD) SYSTEM CHECK before diagnosing any DTCs. See appropriate TESTS W/CODES article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. Repair as necessary. If no DTCs are present, perform manual shifting test to determine if problem is electrical or mechanical related. See MANUAL SHIFTING TEST  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
