TP Sensor Inspection (Sidekick)

Disconnect negative battery cable. Unplug TP sensor connector. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between terminals of TP sensor connector. See THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSOR RESISTANCE  table. See Figure. If idle switch check is not within specification, adjust TP sensor installation angle. Replace TP sensor if it cannot be adjusted to specification.
