DTC P0135 - Ho2S No. 1 Heater Circuit Malfunction

  1. Start engine and let idle. Using a voltmeter, backprobe between ground and PCM harness connector "B", terminal No. 8 (Pink/Black wire). Reading should be less than 1.9 volts. Depress accelerator to Wide Open Throttle (WOT) position for one second and release. Reading should be greater than 10 volts. If reading is not as specified, go to next step. If reading is as specified, check for an intermittent problem. See TESTS W/O CODES article.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect HO2S No. 1 harness connector. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between Black/White wire and Pink/Black wire of HO2S No. 1 connector at sensor. If resistance is 11.7-15.6 ohms at 68°F (20°C), go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace HO2S No. 1. Retest system.
  3. Check Pink/Black wire between HO2S No. 1 and PCM for an open or short to ground. Repair as necessary. If wire is okay, replace PCM. Retest system.
