Description & Operation
Automatic door lock system consists of automatic door lock controller, LOCK DOORS light, door lock switch, door lock actuator and speed sensor. SeeFig 1 . The LOCK DOORS light will come on when ignition switch is in the ON position and one or both front doors are unlocked. If the vehicle is started and accelerated to 5.7-9.3 MPH with one or both front doors unlocked, the auto door lock controller will command both front door lock actuators to lock doors.
If one or both front doors is unlocked while the vehicle is traveling more than 5.7-9.3 MPH, The LOCK DOORS light will come on and the auto door lock controller will command both front door lock actuators to lock doors. However, if either door lock knob is depressed for more than one second, door locks will remain unlocked.
