Removal & Installation

  1. Using Tech 1, perform GEAR TENSION RELIEF FUNCTION. Refer to tester manufacturer instructions.
  2. Disconnect negative battery terminal. Disconnect harness connectors from hydraulic modulator. Protect motor pack and connectors using shop towels placed under assembly to catch brake fluid. Disconnect and plug all brake lines from hydraulic modulator and proportioning block. Remove assembly from vehicle. See Fig 1 .
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure and bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  . Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
