Resistance Check

  1. Remove glove box to access auto door lock controller. SeeFigure . Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect auto door lock controller harness connector. Using an analog ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and auto door lock controller harness connector terminal No. 3. SeeFig 1 .
  2. Resistance should fluctuate between zero ohms and infinity as left front wheel is slowly turned (right front wheel locked). If resistance is not as specified, inspect vehicle speed sensor or circuit. See appropriate WIRING DIAGRAMS.
  3. Measure resistance between ground and auto door lock controller harness connector terminal No. 7. SeeFig 1 . With doors unlocked, continuity should be present. With doors locked, no continuity should be present. If continuity is not as specified, inspect door lock circuit and/or switch(s).
