Set/Coast Switch

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1996 Suzuki X-90 and 1996 Suzuki Sidekick. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

When SET/COAST switch is depressed to ON position and then released to the OFF position while vehicle speed is within 25-75 MPH, vehicle speed at the moment switch is released to the OFF position is stored in CC ECU memory. The vehicle will operate at the speed stored in the CC ECU memory.

Depressing SET/COAST switch to the ON position while vehicle is operating at the speed stored in the CC ECU memory will decrease vehicle speed as long as switch is depressed. When switch is released to the OFF position, vehicle speed at that moment will be stored in CC ECU memory and vehicle will operate at the stored vehicle speed.
