DTC P0335 - Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor CKT Malfunction

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect CKP sensor harness connector. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminals of CKP sensor. Measure resistance between each terminal and ground. If resistance is 360-460 ohms at 68°F (20°C) between terminals and one megohm or greater between each terminal and ground, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace CKP sensor. Retest system.
  2. Visually check CKP sensor and crankshaft pulley for incorrect installation or damage. Repair as necessary. Retest system. If sensor and pulley are okay, go to next step.
  3. Check White/Red wire or White/Black wire between PCM and CKP sensor for an open or short. Repair as necessary. Retest system. If wires are okay, check for an intermittent problem. See appropriate TESTS W/O CODES article. Repair as necessary. Retest system.
