Wheel Speed Sensor

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Suzuki Sidekick. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Remove wheel speed sensor from differential. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance across wheel speed sensor terminals and between wheel speed sensor terminals and sensor body. Resistance between wheel speed sensor terminals at 72°F (22°C) should be 1283-1568 ohms. Resistance between wheel speed sensor terminals and sensor body should be more than 100 k/ohms. Ensure tip of sensor is free of metal particles and damage. If resistance is not as specified and/or wheel speed sensor is damaged, replace wheel speed sensor.
