DTC 3: Open Dump Solenoid Circuit

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect RWAL ECM connector. Measure resistance between RWAL ECM harness connector terminal No. 17 and ground. See Figure.
  2. If resistance reading is 1-3 ohms, check RWAL ECM connections. If connections are okay, replace RWAL ECM.
  3. If resistance reading is more than 3 ohms, disconnect pressure limit valve. Measure resistance between pressure limit valve terminals No. 1 and 4. See Figure.
  4. If resistance is 1-3 ohms, repair open in harness White/Green or Black wire. If resistance is more than 3 ohms, dump solenoid winding is open. Replace pressure limit valve.
