Bleeding Precautions
Before bleeding system, front and rear displacement cylinder pistons must be returned to top-most (home) position. Tech 1 or Suzuki scan tool is required to re-home displacement cylinder pistons. Any stored Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) must be cleared and system malfunctions repaired before performing motor re-home function.
Using Tech 1 or Suzuki scan tool, select F5: MOTOR REHOME. Raise and suitably support vehicle so drive wheels are off the ground. Start engine, engage transaxle and operate vehicle at 3 MPH for at least 10 seconds. Ensure ABS warning light goes out about 3 seconds after starting vehicle. If ABS warning light does not go out, repair procedure must be repeated because procedure did not resolve complaint. Using Tech 1 or Suzuki scan tool, enter MANUAL CONTROL function and "APPLY" front and rear motors. Brake system should now be ready for bleeding. See BLEEDING PROCEDURES .
