Brake Booster Piston Rod
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Suzuki Sidekick. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Push piston rod several times to ensure reaction disc is in place. Set Booster Piston Rod Gauge (09950-96010) on brake booster, until it contacts piston. Turn gauge upside down and place it on booster. No clearance should exist. If Booster Piston Rod Gauge (09950-96010) is unavailable, remove brake booster piston rod seal and retainer. Measure distance between tip of push rod and mating surface of booster-to-master cylinder. Measurement should be 1.257-1.263" (31.9-32.1 mm). If measurement is not as specified, use Booster Piston Rod Adjuster (09952-16020) to adjust push rod.
