Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Turn ignition off. If brake lights are off, go to next step. If brake lights are on, disconnect brake light switch. If brake lights are still on, repair short to voltage in Green/White wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If brake lights are no longer on, check brake switch. See appropriate DRUM & DISC article.
  2. Disconnect 32-pin EBCM harness connector. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and 32-pin EBCM harness connector terminal No. 3 (Green/White wire). If voltage is 2 volts or less, go to next step. If voltage is not 2 volts or less, repair short to voltage in Green/White wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  3. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Check for poor terminal contact of Green/White wire at 32-pin EBCM harness connector terminal No. 3. If terminal and connector are okay, reconnect all harness connectors. Test drive vehicle for 2 drive cycles above 25 MPH. If DTC 94 resets, replace EBCM. If DTC 94 does not reset, system is currently functioning correctly. See INTERMITTENT OR POOR CONNECTIONS  .
