DTC 83: Idle-Up Circuit Malfunction: Description

EBCM and Engine Control Module (ECM) are connected through Pink/White wire circuit connected to EBCM terminal No. 15. If an open or short to battery occurs in Pink/White wire, the EBCM is unable to signal the ECM to increase idle speed. If a short to ground occurs in Pink/White wire, ECM will receive a false signal and raise idle speed.
