Scan Tool Method
- Using a Tech-1 or other OBD-II compatible scan tool, interface PCM by connecting to OBD-II 16-pin DLC, located under instrument panel to left of steering column. Retrieve DTCs following scan tool manufacturers instructions.
- If a DTC is present, identify DTC and diagnose accordingly. See FLASH CODE/DTC IDENTIFICATION table, then proceed to DIAGNOSTIC TESTS . After repairs are made, clear DTCs. See CLEARING TROUBLE CODES . Test drive vehicle and ensure OD/OFF indicator or MIL does not illuminate.
