Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor

ECT sensor delivers an input signal to TCM, indicating engine coolant temperature. ECT sensor prevents gear change to overdrive (4th gear) and TCC lock-up when coolant temperature is 86°F (30°C) or less. ECT sensor is located on front of engine. See Figure.
