Removal & Installation

  1. Using Tech 1 or Suzuki scan tool, perform GEAR TENSION RELIEF FUNCTION. Refer to scan tool operator's manual.
  2. Disconnect negative battery terminal. Protect motor pack and connectors using shop towels placed under assembly to catch brake fluid. Drain brake fluid in master cylinder reservoir, master cylinder and ABS actuator assembly. Disconnect harness connectors from ABS solenoids, differential switch and motor pack. Remove clamps from brake lines. Remove brake lines from ABS actuator assembly and loosen brake line flare nuts at master cylinder. Remove ABS actuator assembly from vehicle and remove bracket from assembly.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure and bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  . Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
