Transmission Range (Tr) Switch: Adjustment
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Place gear selector lever in "N" position. Disconnect TR switch harness connector. Using a DVOM, connect leads to TR switch terminals No. 7 and 9. See Fig 1
.
- Turn TR switch gradually to find position where DVOM indicates continuity. Tighten TR switch at that position. Tighten bolts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 N.m).
- Reconnect TR switch harness connector. Ensure engine starts with gear selector lever in "N" or "P" positions, but does not start in any other position. Ensure back-up lights illuminate with gear selector lever in "R" position.
