Gear Selector Cable: Adjustment

  1. Place gear selector lever and transaxle control shaft in Neutral. Loosen cable lock nuts to provide cable slack and free movement. Push cable forward until it stops. Ensure gear selector lever is in Neutral.
  2. Tighten rear cable lock nut until it contacts transaxle control shaft lever. Tighten front cable lock nut. Confirm the following: vehicle will not move with gear selector lever in Park. Vehicle will not drive in Neutral, but can be operated as indicated in all other positions.
