Scan Tool Method (TCM)
- Using SUZUKI scan tool with A/T cartridge, interface TCM by connecting to OBD-II 16-pin Data Link Connector (DLC), located under instrument panel, accessible from driver's side. Retrieve DTCs following scan tool manufacturers instructions.
- If a DTC is present, identify DTC and diagnose accordingly. See DTC IDENTIFICATION , then proceed to DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. After repairs are made, clear DTCs. See CLEARING TROUBLE CODES . Test drive vehicle and ensure OD/OFF indicator or MIL does not illuminate.
NOTE:
When using "Flash Code" (2-digit code) method to retrieve DTCs, convert trouble codes into 4-digit OBD-II DTCs for use in DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. See DTC IDENTIFICATION .
