Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect return spring from shaft fork. Remove clutch release bearing. Inspect release bearing for rough rotation, wear or damage. If necessary, replace bearing. Using Busing Driver (09922-46010 ), remove release shaft bushing from shaft. Remove return spring.
  2. Remove release shaft. Using a tap (M16 x 1.5 ), remove other release shaft busing. To install, lightly lubricate sliding surface of release bearing with grease. Install NEW release shaft bushings. Install NEW seal in transaxle housing at release shaft. Ensure seal lip is inside transaxle housing, facing inward. Install clutch release bearing on transaxle retainer.
