Clutch Start Switch

  1. Apply parking brake firmly. Place gearshift lever in Neutral. Disconnect clutch start switch connector. Loosen lock nut and turn switch outward. Depress clutch pedal to floor. Release clutch pedal to .6-1.2" (15-30 mm) from floor.
  2. Connect ohmmeter to clutch start switch terminals. Slowly screw switch in until continuity is present. Tighten lock nut. Ensure when clutch pedal is fully depressed against floor. Switch plunger should have .04-.08" (1-2 mm) of travel left. This will protect switch from damage due to bottoming out internally. Reconnect clutch start switch connector.
