DTC 25: Shorted Rd2L Signal
- Perform TCM DIAGNOSTIC CIRCUIT CHECK. Ensure ignition is turned to LOCK position. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM) 16-pin harness connector, located near glove box. Turn ignition on. Move shift selector from "P" position to "D" position, then back to "P" position. Check if DTC 25 is still present. If DTC 25 is still present, go to next step. If DTC 25 is no longer present, replace PCM and retest system.
- Turn ignition to LOCK position. Disconnect TCM 14-pin harness connector. Using a DVOM, measure resistance between chassis ground and TCM 14-pin harness connector terminal No. 5 (Brown/White wire). If DVOM displays infinite resistance, replace TCM and retest. If resistance is not as specified, repair Brown/White wire between PCM and TCM for a short to ground.
