Daytime Running Light (DRL) System Does Not Turn Off

  1. If DRL system continues to operate after engine is turned off, check DRL controller and White/Red wire circuit. Replace DRL controller and/or repair circuit as necessary.
  2. If DRL system continues to operate after parking brake is applied, check parking brake switch. On 1996 Sidekick, check Violet wire circuit.
  3. If DRL system continues to operate after headlight switch is turned on, check light switch. On Sidekick, check Brown/Yellow wire circuit.
