Idle Speed Control (ISC) System

The ISC system incorporates an actuator motor to control throttle opening. ECM uses signals from various sensors to control voltage sent to rotate ISC actuator plunger out or back controlling throttle opening. Current direction is reversed in circuit to retract ISC plunger (closing throttle).
