Component Testing: Actuator

CAUTION: DO NOT turn ignition on for more than .5 second. If ignition is left on for longer than .5 second, actuator may be damaged.
  1. Turn ignition off. Remove glove box to access auto door lock controller. SeeFigure . Disconnect auto door lock controller harness connector. Ensure doors are unlocked. Place a jumper wire between auto door lock controller harness connector terminals No. 2 and 4. SeeFig 1 .
  2. Momentarily turn ignition on. Door locks should lock. DO NOT leave ignition on for more than .5 second. If door(s) do not lock, check for open in suspect circuit(s). See appropriate WIRING DIAGRAMS. If circuit(s) is okay, replace actuator.
