Hydraulic System Bleeding

  1. Raise and support front of vehicle. Fill reservoir. Wait about 3 minutes and refill reservoir. With engine off, turn steering wheel lock-to-lock several times. Check fluid level. Refill as necessary.
    CAUTION: DO NOT  hold steering wheel at full lock position longer than 5 seconds.
  2. With engine at idle, turn steering wheel lock-to-lock 3 to 4 times. Turn off engine. Recheck fluid level. Add fluid (if necessary). Lower vehicle. Turn steering wheel lock-to-lock with engine at idle.
  3. With wheels in straight-ahead position and engine off, check fluid level. If fluid rises, air is trapped in system. Repeat bleeding procedure.
