Mass Airflow (MAF) Sensor (MFI)

MAF sensor is located between air cleaner and throttle body. MAF sensor uses a thermal resistor to detect the amount of air drawn into engine and sends a voltage signal to ECM terminal B8. Battery power to MAF sensor is provided through main relay. Battery power is provided to MAF sensor from ECM terminal A3. ECM uses this signal to control fuel injectors.
