Retrieving Codes

To retrieve stored RWAL Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC), perform RWAL SYSTEM CHECK. See Figure. The 10-pin diagnostic connector is located under dash, behind RWAL ECM. See Fig 1. Stored DTCs are flashed by BRAKE warning light. If more than one DTC is present, lowest number DTC will flash repeatedly until it is repaired and cleared from memory. Last flash of indicated DTC will last longer than others, indicating DTC is about to repeat. If engine is turned off before DTC is retrieved, DTC may be lost. It may be necessary to drive vehicle to reproduce same problem that set DTC. After retrieving DTCs, perform appropriate test. See CIRCUIT TESTS . See RWAL DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTC) table.
