Parking/Emergency Brake

NOTE: Ensure rear brakes are correctly adjusted before adjusting parking brake.
  1. Using pulling force of 44-55 lbs. (20-25 kg), apply parking brake lever and count number of notches lever travels. Adjustment is okay if lever clicks 6-8 notches.
  2. If parking brake cable adjustment is required, remove parking brake lever assembly trim cover. Loosen parking brake cable lock nut. Turn cable adjusting nut as required to obtain correct number of clicks at parking brake lever. After adjustment, ensure rear wheels turn freely with parking brake off.
