Using Voltmeter Or ABS Warning Light

  1. If vehicle is equipped with ABS control module part number 33940-77E00, go to step  3 . If vehicle is equipped with ABS control module part number 33940-77E01 AND a wheel speed sensor DTC was present (DTC 21, 22, 25, 26, 31, 32, 35 or 36), go to next step. If vehicle is equipped with ABS control module part number 33940-77E01 AND a wheel speed sensor DTC was not present (DTC 21, 22, 25, 26, 31, 32, 35 or 36), go to step  3 .
  2. Road test vehicle at 6.5-12.5 MPH over level road surface. Stop vehicle and turn ignition off. Turn ignition back on and observe ABS warning light. If ABS warning light goes off 2 seconds after ignition is turned on, go to next step. If ABS warning light does not go off 2 seconds after ignition is turned on, repeat repair procedure.
  3. Turn ignition off. Using a jumper wire, connect Black diagnostic connector No. 2 diagnostic switch terminal to diagnostic output terminal. See Figure . Turn ignition on for at least 10 seconds. Turn ignition off and disconnect jumper wire. Perform DTC check and confirm DTC 12 (system okay) is displayed and no other codes are stored. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  .
