"G" Sensor

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 1998 Suzuki X-90, 1998 Suzuki Sidekick, 1997 Suzuki X-90, 1997 Suzuki Sidekick, and 1996 Suzuki X-90. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

"G" sensor on 4WD models is supplemental speed reference to EBCM when vehicle is in 4WD mode. "G" sensor sends a 2.5-volt reference voltage signal to EBCM when vehicle is standing still or at a set cruising speed. Voltage decreases to about zero volt under heavy acceleration, or increases to near 5 volts under heavy braking. "G" sensor is located behind parking brake handle assembly. See Fig 1 .
