Coolant Temp. Switch Signal Circuit Check (4-Speed A/T)

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect electrical connector at CC ECU. Turn ignition on. Using voltmeter, check voltage between ground and CC ECU connector terminal No. 10. SeeFigure .
  2. With engine coolant temperature less than 77°F (25°C), voltage should be 0-1 volt. With engine coolant temperature greater than 86°F (30°C), voltage should be 10-14 volts.
  3. If voltage is not within specification, check fuses, wiring and electrical connectors for related wiring circuit. See appropriate wiring diagram under WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair fuses, wiring or electrical connectors as necessary.
