Lower Control Arm Bushings: Removal

Remove lower control arm. See LOWER CONTROL ARM & BALL JOINT . To remove front bushing, cut off .2" (5 mm) of bushing flange with hacksaw. See Fig 1.

Using a press, Control Arm Support (09951-46020), Bushing Remover (09951-16060) and Handle (09924-74510), press out front bushing. Position Control Arm Support (09951-46020) on cut off area of bushing. See Fig 1. Remove rear bushing by cutting off rubber flange and pressing out bushing using Bushing Remover/Installer Set (09951-16040). See Fig 2.
