Activating System (Legend)

  1. Ensure ignition switch is in OFF position and both battery cables are disconnected. Remove SRS short connector "A" from passenger-side air bag SRS main harness connector.
  2. Remove passenger-side air bag connector from Red short connector in connector holder. Reconnect passenger-side air bag connector to SRS main harness connector. Reinstall glove box.
  3. Remove Red short connectors from seat belt pretensioners, and install Red short connectors to their holders. See Figure. Reconnect harness connectors to seat belt pretensioner connectors. Reinstall quarter trim panels ("B" pillar trim panels on Sedan).
  4. Remove Red short connector from driver-side air bag connector. Remove SRS short connector "A" from cable reel connector. Reconnect driver-side air bag connector to cable reel connector. Install short connector to access panel. Reinstall access panel to steering wheel.
  5. Reconnect battery. Check SRS indicator light to ensure system is functioning properly. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
