1996 Sidekick With 3-Speed A/T

  1. Apply parking brake. Disconnect electrical connector at park/neutral position switch. Connect ohmmeter between electrical terminals on park/neutral position switch.
  2. Check that continuity exists with shift lever in Park and Neutral. Check that continuity does not exist with shift lever in any other gears. Replace park/neutral position switch if continuity is not as specified.
