Transfer Case (4WD): Inspection

Inspect condition of disassembled components. Replace any worn or damaged components. Measure length of detent springs. Standard spring length should be .933" (23.70 mm). Service limit is .866" (22.0 mm). If spring is not within specifications, replace. Check all bearings for pitting, scoring or any irregular wear. Replace as needed.
