Throttle Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Throttle Position Sensor Terminals:

Throttle Position Sensor Output Voltage:

- Disconnect negative cable at battery and TPS wires at the connector.
- Using ohmmeter, check the resistance between each two terminals.
- If idle switch check result is not satisfactory, adjust installation angle of TPS and then check again. Refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES.

- If found defective in above check, replace.
- Connect TPS connector securely and battery negative cable to battery.
