Forward Clutch: Disassembly
- Remove snap ring, flange, discs and plates. Remove clutch drum thrust washer. See Figure . Using an appropriate press, compress forward clutch return spring. Remove snap ring and return spring subassembly.
- Install forward clutch piston subassembly into transaxle rear cover. Apply 57-113 psi (4-8 kg/cm2 ) of compressed air into oil hole "A" to remove forward clutch piston. See Figure . Remove clutch drum oil sealing rings from clutch drum and rear cover.
