DTC 37: Forward Clutch Cylinder Revolution Sensor
NOTE:
DTC 37 will set if no forward clutch cylinder revolution sensor signal is inputted while transaxle is in "D", "2" or "L" range, and VSS signal was inputted 2000 times.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect TCM harness connectors. Using a DVOM, measure resistance between TCM harness connector terminal B14 (Green wire) and terminal B6 (Red wire). If resistance is 387-475 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, go to step 3.
- Test TR switch operation. See TRANSMISSION RANGE (TR) SWITCH under COMPONENT TESTING. Adjust or replace if necessary. If TR switch tests okay, check for poor TCM harness connections. Repair as necessary. If connections are okay, substitute TCM with a known-good unit. Retest system.
- Test forward clutch cylinder revolution sensor operation. See FORWARD CLUTCH CYLINDER REVOLUTION SENSOR under COMPONENT TESTING. Replace if necessary. If sensor tests okay, repair Green or Red wire for an open or short.
