DTC P0725: Engine Speed Input Circuit: Notes

NOTE: DTC P0725 will set if no engine speed signal is inputted with engine running, and normal ECT sensor signal values were inputted.

Turn ignition off. Disconnect TCM harness connectors. Turn ignition on. Using a DVOM, measure voltage between ground and TCM harness connector E26, terminal No. 21 (Brown wire). If reading is 10-14 volts, check for an intermittent problem or faulty TCM. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDS . If reading is not as specified, check for an open in Brown wire between TCM and noise suppressor filter, or a faulty noise suppressor filter. Repair as necessary. Retest system.
