Bench Testing: Rectifier
- To check positive rectifier, connect ohmmeter leads between "B" terminal and each positive rectifier terminal. Note continuity reading. See Fig 1
.
- Reverse ohmmeter leads and note continuity reading. Continuity should exist with ohmmeter leads in one direction, and no continuity should exist when ohmmeter leads are reversed. Replace rectifier if defective.
- To check negative rectifier, connect ohmmeter leads between each negative terminal and each negative rectifier terminal. Note continuity reading. See Fig 1
.
- Reverse ohmmeter leads and note continuity reading. Continuity should exist with ohmmeter leads in one direction, and no continuity should exist when ohmmeter leads are reversed. Replace rectifier if defective.
