DTC 41: Throttle Pressure Control Solenoid: Notes

NOTE: DTC 41 will set if throttle pressure control solenoid or its circuit is open or shorted to ground.

Turn ignition off. Disconnect TCM harness connectors. Using a DVOM, measure resistance between TCM harness connector terminal A3 (Gray/Red wire) and terminal A13 (Gray/Black wire). If resistance is about 3.5 ohms, check for an intermittent problem or faulty TCM. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDS . If resistance is not as specified, go to next step.
Test throttle pressure control solenoid operation. See SOLENOIDS under COMPONENT TESTING. Replace if necessary. If solenoid tests okay, check Gray/Red wire or Gray/Black wire for an open or short to ground. Check for poor TCM or solenoid harness connections. Repair as necessary.
