Fuel Pressure Relief

1. Place manual transmission models in Neutral or automatic transmission models in Park, then set parking brake and block drive wheels.
2. Remove main fuse box cover and engine cooling water reservoir.

3. Detach main fuse box from body and disconnect coupler from fuel pump relay, Fig. 1.
4. Remove fuel filler cap to release fuel vapor pressure in tank, then install cap.
5. Start and run engine until it stalls. Repeat cranking engine three times for three seconds each time to dissipate fuel pressure in fuel lines.
