Piston & Rod Assembly Service

Piston must be installed with arrow on top of piston toward timing belt end of engine and oil hole toward intake manifold side. See Fig 1.

NOTE: There are 2 standard piston sizes and cylinder bore diameters used. Piston and cylinder bores are marked No. 1 or No. 2. Mark is on top of piston or cylinder block deck surface. See Figure.
