BRAKELIGHT Switch Circuit Check

Turn ignition on. With CC ECU connector disconnected, check voltage between ground and CC ECU connector terminal No. 7 (3-speed A/T and M/T) or terminal No. 4 (4-speed A/T). See Figure or Figure . With brake pedal depressed, 10-14 volts should be present. If voltage is not as specified, check wires and connectors of related circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair faulty wires or connectors as necessary. If wires and connectors are okay, check switch function. See BRAKELIGHT SWITCH TEST  under COMPONENT TESTING.
