Clutch Release Shaft: Installation

  1. Install No. 2 bushing. DO NOT apply grease to either release shaft bushing. Install release shaft and return spring. Using Bearing Installer (09925-98221 ) and Spacer (09927-34510 ), drive in No. 1 bushing until it contacts stepped surface of clutch housing.
  2. Align punch marks on release lever and release shaft and install release lever. Tighten release lever pinch bolt and nut to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Hook return spring over clutch release shaft fork. Apply grease to release fork contact surfaces and install release bearing. To complete installation, reverse removal procedures.
